Does anyone know of upcoming flu shot dates/locations?  I haven't gotten one before but need to this year...thanks for any tips!

On Sat., Nov. 1st, the Children's Hospital of Boston will have their bloodmobile stationed at the Clapp School on 40 Hudson Street in Woburn, MA.  The blood drive will be  in the lower parking lot and will go from 10 AM. to 5PM.  It is being held in honor of Trent Kelly, a six year old boy with deep ties to the Woburn community.  Earlier this year, Trent was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins T-cell Lymphatic Lymphoma, and  donations made will go toward helping him in his time of need, as well as helping countless other children treated by the Children's Hospital of Boston.  read more »

The North Suburban YMCA staff is asking area residents to join them Saturday, Sept. 20 through Saturday, Sept. 27 for a week full of fun and exciting events and activities meant to encourage individuals and families to live a healthy and active life.
America On the Move is a national non-profit initiative dedicated to improving the health and quality of life by promoting healthy eating and active living for individuals, families, and communities.The goal is to encourage individuals and families to make two small changes each day; take 2,000 more steps (or activity equivalent) and eat 100 fewer calories (by eating smarter).
This year the North Suburban YMCA in Woburn will hold a variety of events and activities for all ages to celebrate America On the Move Week which will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 20.  read more »

Do you have a home in need of a fresh look?  Have you fallen on hard times and are unable to make needed cosmetic changes to your home?  The International Furniture and Design Association (IFDA) is taking applications for families in need of assistance to take part in a "Home Makeover" contest.  This contest is open to members from any community in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. One lucky winner will have a crew of approximately 25 professionals providing cosmetic improvements to their home over the course of two days (a Saturday & Sunday) in the month of October.

The Body Mind Systems Training Center in Woburn is hosting an open-house starting Monday, August 11 and continuing until Friday, August 15. Come join us for a vigorous workout that will engage your mind, help you deal with the stress from you daily life, and teach you practical self-defense skills. All ages and abilities are welcome.
