Flyer for Red, White and Rosé Wine Tasting

Get ready for summer with the Red, White and Rosé Wine Tasting to benefit SCI! This will provide you with the chance to sample some great wines to enjoy this summer, along with an assortment of appetizers. Connect with other community members over some good wine & food, while supporting a local charity. The tasting will be led by Jennifer Murray, DWSET, Certified Specialist of Wine, from the Urban Chef catering company. Tickets are $25 in advance. The tasting will take place on Thursday, June 8 from 4-7pm at J. Mulkerin Realty (616 Main Street, Woburn MA).

SCI and the YMCA International Learning Center would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of the performers, vendors, organizations, volunteers and members of the community who came out on Sunday to celebrate cultures from around the world! Without you all, WorldFest 2017 would not have been such a resounding success and we very much appreciate all of your hard work. On Saturday, June 3 from 5-11pm, the St. Anthony Church in North Woburn will be hosting its annual festival in honor of the patron Saint Anthony. It will be held at the grounds of the church at 851 Main St., Woburn MA. Mass will take place at 4pm, followed by the festival beginning at 5pm.

The festival will feature the Soul Shakers Band, music by DJ Master Scratch, amusements, food, beer & wine, children's games and lots of chances to win great prizes! Flyer for Traces of the Trade film screening

SCI and the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer would like to invite you to join us for the film screening of the acclaimed documentary, Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North. Following the film, Dain and Constance Perry will facilitate a conversation on race, reconciliation and healing. Dain, one of the family members in the film, took part in retracing his family's heritage.

The screening will take place on Friday, May 12 from 6-9pm at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. RSVP by May 10, as a light dinner will be served prior to the screening. Contact

The Council of Social Concern will be hosting its annual John McElhiney Memorial Auction on Saturday, April 29 at the Crest View Plaza in Woburn starting at 6pm. Tickets for admission are $35.00 which includes a buffet-style dinner featuring light appetizers, baked macaroni and cheese, sirloin tips, sausage and peppers & more! There will also be a cash bar available.

What can you do to help? DONATE an auction item ie. theatre tickets, restaurant gift cards or hotel stays. ATTEND the auction with family and friends - tables of 8-10 can be reserved! SPONSOR the auction, anywhere from $99-$5,000 for ads, publicity & more. Lastly, get the chance to WIN a basket of gift certificates for fine dining at local restaurants valued at over $500 - all you have to do is purchase Dine-Around raffle tickets for $15.
