The Fifth Annual Mayor's Forum on Alzheimer's Disease will take place on Thursday, May 13th at the Woburn Senior Center.
The forum will consist primarily of a lunch and two lectures by experts in the field of Alzheimer's care. The forum will feature the speakers Wayne S. Saltsman, MD, PhD, CMD, and Sharon Johnson.
Tickets are $1.
Dancing with the DJ is a dance benefit for Friends Helping Seniors. The goal of this event is to help the group raise money for a new senior van. The dance will take place at 7:30 on Friday, May 7th at the Sons of Italy Hall.

You've probably heard by now of the big MWRA water leak that happened yesterday. Initially the boil water order sounded like it included Woburn; Mayor Galvin also sent a phone message out yesterday urging residents to conserve water.
On Saturday, May 1st, 2010, the Woburn Historical Society and the Charlestown Militia will present the 4th annual Pathway of the Patriots at the Tarky Field, off Russell Street, in Woburn.
This living history program, sponsored by the Northern Bank and Trust Company and the Lennon Insurance Agency, celebrates the roles of the Woburn Militia, their families, and Woburn residents in the events of April 19th, 1775, and the Revolutionary War.
The schedule of events will include a battle reenactment, dramatizations, and narrated tours of Old Battle Road, in the adjacent Battle Road Conservation Area.
Kick In 4 Kids Road Race & Health Walk – Presented by Comcast: The first ever Kick In 4 Kids Road Race & Health Walk will be held Sunday, May 2. Starting and ending at Library Park, this 4.2 mile race takes participants through the city streets of Woburn and around scenic Horn Pond. The day includes the race, post-race party, raffles, give-a-ways and more.

Get ready for the annual Boys and Girls Club Carnival! Come to the Carnival and enjoy rides, games, classic canival food, and much more for the entire family! Special events include magic shows, a petting zoo and much more!
The Carnival will run from May 5th through May 9th and will be in the Showcase Cinemas parking lot.
Body-Mind Systems, which operates a Woburn martial arts studio, will be holding a Stranger Danger Workshop to benefit SCI during the Carnival, on Saturday May 8th at 1pm. This workshop will teach kids of ages 4-7 how to protect themselves from strangers.
The Special Education Surrogate Parent Program is having a training for new volunteers on Thursday May 4th at the Reading Public Library.
