Public Hearing about Spence Farm Rescheduled Yet Again

City of Woburn LogoMayor Galvin has called a public hearing in the city council chambers to discuss the proposed plan of buying the Spence Farm property to preserve it as a wilderness area.  The plan would cost 2.7 million dollars and would purchase a valuable 7.6 acre plot of land. 

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 7pm in the City Council Chambers.  The meeting has been rescheduled twice in recent weeks, so it is a good idea to check this page and the city website often for the most recent information before making plans.

Woburn Cub Scouts Registration

The Woburn Cub Scouts Pack 502 is currently recruiting for its Spring Registration.  Boys entering first grade or higher in the Fall are eligible for entrance into the scouts!

They are having discounted early registration until June 23rd!  The cost to join is $55.00, a savings of $15.00 off their fall registering fee of $70.00. Meetings are held one evening a week starting in September and run until June.  Depending on the age level of the den, Meetings are held Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at St. Charles School. 6:30-8.

Grand Opening of the YMCA's New Outdoor Training Studio

YMCAThe North Suburban YMCA will be celebrating the opening of their new outdoor training studio this Saturday, June 5th from 9 to 11am.  Some of the activities that will be showcased at the event are meeting trainers, a TRX session, ropes and agility session, Plyo boxes, 10-minute group trainings, 10-minute boot camps, a 10-minute introduction to spinning, medicine ball training and a raffle for an eight-pack of personal training.
