The Woburn Business Association and the Woburn Rotary invite you to the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club on Thursday March 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM for "Connections at the Club." Join with area professionals and community leaders to tour the newly renovated and expanded facility. This is a special opportunity to learn more about the programming offered and connect with the community while enjoying appetizers and adult refreshments. Tickets available at woburnbusiness.org ($10 - $15), proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.

The Rotary Club of Woburn presents Comedy Night, being held at Giggles Comedy Club (517 Broadway, Route 1 South, Saugus). This fun filled event will take place on Saturday Febraury 17th at 6:30 pm. Hundreds of families have recently moved to Massachusetts from Puerto Rico because of the hurricane, Maria. They are in immense need to supplies today, and you can help! Various examples of items needed can be found by looking at the attached event flier. Items can be dropped off at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 60 Forest Park Road Woburn, Ma 01801. The 10th Annual Donald Manzelli Telethon for Council of Social Concern will air on Woburn and Winchester Cable stations with Host Kathy Lucero, Jim Major and Vinnie "The Shoe" Ferlisi! This year's special guest host is Peter Mamakos, chef and owner of the The Restaurant in Woburn Center. Jim and Vinnie will be cooking along side Peter featuring a few Greek dishes they will prepare for you to see!! Guests will come to the Telethon from all avenues of the Woburn and Winchester Communities to show their support of Council of Social Concern and also to share what is going on in their arena!

Join community members for an afternoon of traditional Irish music at the Joyce Middle School brought to you by The Ivy Leaf.  Initially formed by Lindsay Straw (bouzouki, guitar, vocals) as a way to explore her own interest in the interconnected streams of folk music in Ireland, Britain, and America, The Ivy Leaf is a young stalwart of traditional music in New England, featuring Armand Aromin (fiddle, English concertina, vocals, whistle), Dan Accardi (fiddle, concertina, accordion), and Benedict Gagliardi (concertina, harmonica, vocals, tenor guitar).

Join the Woburn Public Library for a discussion on Bryan Stevenson's Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption. They will briefly be discussing Between the World and Me--cancelled due to snow--at the start of the meeting. The meeting will take place Thursday March 1st from 7 - 8:45 p.m. in the staff room of the Woburn Public Library (temporary location). Light refreshments will be served, this meeting is for ages 15+.
