Woburn Ambassadors is a new program being presented by Social Capital Inc. (SCI) in partnership with the Woburn Public Schools designed to help families who are newcomers in Woburn connect to everything the community has to offer.

Meet the candidates running for state representative in the 15th and 30th Middlesex districts. The 30th Middlesex district forum will be held for Woburn wards 2-6 and Reading Precincts 2-5 on Wednesday May 23rd, doors open at 6:30pm and the forum will begin at 7pm. The 15th Middlesex district forum will be held for Woburn wards 1 & 7 and Lexington on Wednesday June 6th, doors open at 6:30pm and the forum will begin at 7pm. All qualified candidates running for this seat, regardless of party affiliation, have been invited to participate in their respective forum.

Social Capital Inc. (SCI) and the Horn Pond Concert Series Committee are excited to unveil the 2018 Horn Pond Summer Concert Series schedule, featuring one of the best lineups to date.  The first concert will kick off on June 22nd  with Woburn's own MaryBeth Maes. The Horn Pond Summer Concerts are FREE to the community thanks to our generous local businesses sponsors. Join fellow Woburn community members to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer. The Relay takes place on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2 p.m. - 6 am at Library Park Field (63 Harrison Ave Woburn, MA). Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in thousands of communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer.

Addiction doesn't care who you are or where you come from. Chris Sullivan was a Patriot from 1996 - 2002.  By all rights, he led a successful life. He also struggled with anxiety and addiction to drugs and alcohol, a struggle led to his retirement from the NFL. Kathi Sullivan was a normal mom with a normal life. And then her 17 year old daughter, Taylor, drowned in 2 feet of swampy water--the result of underage drinking and poor choices. The evening is a chance to start a conversation with your children and family on a topic that can be really difficult to talk about.

The 5th Annual Health & Wellness Fair will be held on Saturday May 5th from 10am – 1pm at the new James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn. They will be holding the fair in the Gymnasium along with a Blood Drive for the American Red Cross.
