2010 Horn Pond Summer Concert Series Line Up

Concerts start at 7:00 P.M. and run until 9:00 P.M. and are held at Ice House Park by Horn Pond.  Ice House Park is the flat grassy area along Sturgis Street.  See you there!

June 25 - Beat Soup sponsored by McCue Garden Center

Beat Soup’s ska-influenced stylings include both instrumental dance pieces and vocal numbers.  Playing originals and covers, the 8-piece dance band from Boston feature a classic sax/trombone/trumpet horn section as well as guitar, keyboard and drums.

July 9 - The Bagboys sponsored by Sean P. Coakley of Atlantic Power Cleaning Corp.

The Bagboys call themselves a country band for people who don’t like country music.  They play a mixture of bluegrass, western swing, jazz standards, folk, and old - timey music.  Go to www.bagboys.com for more information.
 

July 23 - The Daniel Byrne's Band sponsored by Michael de la Maza

Daniel Byrne is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, perfomer, producer, teacher, band member, solo artist, and music fan.  His music is a mixture of folk, soul, and rock.  His influences include Garcia, Sly and the Family Stone, John Coltrane, Jacob Miller, Townes Van Zandt, Frank Zappa, The Clash, The Band, The Roots, and Grant Green.  Go to his band's myspace artist page for more information.

August 6 - The McTeggarts sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts of Woburn Center

The McTeggarts create traditional Irish folk music that makes you want to stand up and join in. The band made up of Jimmy Byrne from Cork and Mike O'Brien from Dublin come together with their dulcet tones and superb musicianship and have become one of the most sought after folk Irish bands in America and abroad.
