people networking

The Woburn Business Association helps their members grow their business. They offer varied networking opportunities including their monthly After Hours Network Gatherings. These monthly events bring professionals from Woburn and the surrounding area together in a casual atmosphere to create and grow their network. Enjoy great food, cash bar and meet lots of great people looking to connect. Attendees are encouraged to get comfortable and hang out (and actually meet people), they say the business will come after building real friendships.

Jerry Thornton is the author of “From Darkness to Dynasty: The First Forty Years of the New England Patriots.” From their humble beginnings as a team bought with rainy-day money by a man who had no idea what he was doing, to the fateful season that saw them win their first Super Bowl, Thornton shares the wild, humiliating, unbelievable and wonderful stories that comprised the first 40 years of what would ultimately become the most dominant franchise in NFL history. Brief Friends’ Annual Meeting from 6:45 to 7 p.m. before beginning the talk at 7 p.m. on October 17th.

Head on over to McCue Garden Center on October 14th or 15th and build your very own scarecrow! Support the community you live in and spend quality time with your family while creating something festive for the fall season. Bring a long sleeve shirt and long pants to dress your scarecrow, the rest will be provided. All proceeds earned will benefit local charities within Woburn. Each Scarecrow is $15.

Hi there! I'm Katie. I've recently joined Social Capital Inc.'s Woburn team where I'll be doing AmeriCorps service as a Volunteer Outreach Coordinator over the next ten months. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this past May while majoring in communication and political science and am a native of Gloucester, MA. I'm excited to see what this service year will have in store and the opportunity to create a positive and lasting impact within the Woburn community

School Kids

SCI will be working with the Woburn Public Schools and community partners to host a "Welcome Night" at the high school on September 26th from 6:30-8PM for families new to the Woburn community within the past year or so. Take this chance to connect with local organizations and services to learn more about the community resources available to you and your kids. Translators will be available.

This project is funded through CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and Winchester Hospital.
